Exhibitions & Workshops

Exhibiting in the Nelson area and country-wide gives me a great opportunity to engage with the public about my art processes. I particularly enjoy the feedback I receive and the exchange of ideas. In addition, teaching techniques have become a new-found love of mine – running classes for up to 12 participants on monoprinting, exploring background techniques (rust dyeing, using resists and discharge dyeing) and creating your own collage elements using a multitude of mediums.

Below are dates for the next exhibitions, workshops and other news that I am involved in. You can also subscribe to notifications of events via the Contact page.

Workshops

Monoprinting with a gelplate

Held a successful class on the 11 April.  Will post on here when another one is organised later in the year.

Register your interest in any of the following - dates to be confirmed for 2026

- Creating Collage Elements

This class runs for 2 days and uses some unusual ways of creating texture on bought and found papers, to use as collage elements.  The second day you will create a grid of collages using what you have created.  No experience necessary.

- Floral Fantasy

A two day course where you will create your own floral fantasy on a canvas.  Using wet strength tissue paper and collaged papers (supplied by me), you will have a finished artwork to take home ready to hang at the end of the weekend. No artistic experience necessary.

- Monoprinting using a Gelplate

A one day course introducing you to this very addictive method of printing. No experience necessary.
